Yesid Fonseca Aranda
Composer, sound artist and performer, established in Bern, Switzerland. His work is oriented towards questioning and researching the role of the artist/creator in relation to current social and political issues.
He collaborates in diverse interdisciplinary projects with regards to this theme, through the articulation of music with other artistic expressions; such as visual arts, choreography and performance, in which he participates as a composer, programmer, performer, arranger or conductor.
He studied musical composition with Arturo Corrales at the CPMT Geneva, Xavier Dayer and Gilbert Nouno at the University of the Arts Bern (HKB), where he obtained a degree in Music Composition in 2016 and MA in Théâatre musical in 2018. He is currently a student in the master’s program in contemporary arts practice/sound arts with Teresa Carrasco and Michael Harenberg.
Yesid’s work has been performed by several ensembles, such as the Contrechamps, Vortex, Hodiernis, Polygon, Vertigo (HKB), Nouvel ensemble contemporain (NEC) and the Sinfonie Orchester Biel Solothurn amongst others.
